Nike finally acknowledges all of the OG sneakerheads who have spent years bragging about their museum-worthy collection with this Air Max 1 'Museum Masterpiece". Adopting the updated ’86 tooling, the Swoosh drops the silhouette in a radical new form that will certainly stir up conversations within sneaker communities. Whether you would genuinely rock the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “Summit White Phantom” or keep them tucked away as a visual piece, the choice is up to you.
Previously titled the "Air Max 1 '86 OG Museum Masterpiece", the upper is unmistakably the main talking point on this edition, built from a suede that mimics the textured marble statues seen in the finest historical museums and galleries worldwide. Following suit is the midsole underneath, its stone finish only pushing the conceptual theme further. Printed onto the sockliners inside are the words “Please Do Not Step On The Art” on the right foot and a gallery-style description on the left that pays homage to legendary designer Tinker Hatfield. Leather tongue branding and a simple set of flat white laces complement the theme, ticking off all the traditional Air Max detailing which makes it unmistakably Nike.
Dropping on the 9th of March 2024 via the Nike SNKRS app, make sure to set a reminder so you don’t miss out. Find out where you can buy the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “Summit White Phantom” by keeping it locked to The Sole Supplier!
