A Tokyo icon reimagined. The Nike Air Max 95 OG "Harajuku" pays tribute to the district that helped transform the 95 into a legend. First immortalised through Japan’s late 90s Neon craze, a period of Air Max hunting, soaring resale prices and true sneaker folklore, the silhouette now returns with a design that nods directly to Harajuku’s cultural heartbeat.
Expect a premium leather build, reflective accents and carefully placed embroidery, alongside a palette inspired by the district’s street sign. A bold black leather forms the majority of the upper, with OG Neon hits that tie this collaboration to the icon. Sandwiched between two glossy leather panels and toe is a more muted black, inidicating the presence of a possible reactive element to the leather such as 3M as water-reactive traits. Subtle “HRJK” detailing and a embroidered mini Swoosh add the finishing touches to a shoe that feels both familiar and brand new.
Arriving in the OG 110 box, there is no information on if this release comes with spare laces. However considering the Japanese sneakerhead's fondness for details, we will be expecting at least a classic pair of white rope laces inside. In terms of sizing, we currently recommend going true to size however this information might change once we know how the all-leather effects the tooling.
Rumoured as a Japan exclusive, the Harajuku AM95 will no doubt attract global attention, with UK-based 110 fans and collectors worldwide eager to secure pairs through any means possible.
