‘90s footwear design and modern-day Nike technology collide in this brand-new model inspired by several Nike Air Max Tailwind models in the revered franchise. The Nike Air Max TW debuted in late 2022 and dropped in several colourways since then. This “Pure Platinum Grey” is a welcome addition to the growing roster of nostalgic Air Max silhouettes.

The Nike Tailwind dates back to 1978 as the first silhouette to utilise an encapsulated Nike Air unit. In 1992, the series finally implemented visible Nike Air called Air Max, a state-of-the-art cushioning system patented by the brand. This next-gen Air Max TW flaunts a clean white textile base featuring chevron patterns inspired by the Air Max Tailwind. Pebbled leather overlays reinforce the toe and collar, while the heel panel incorporates nylon with a mesh upper collar. The foam midsole boasts a large-volume Air Max bubble in the heel, borrowing the same design element from the Air Max Tailwind 3 from the late ‘90s. Bouncy Cushlon foam makes up the grey midsole on the rear, adding more plush cushioning underfoot. The grey rubber outsole wraps up this summer-friendly makeover.
