Surpassing records and exceeding expectations, the Nike Alphafly 2 offers the highest energy return and bounce among the Oregon-based brand’s running shoe selections yet! This silhouette is at the apex of Nike’s design innovation, built for world-class athletes looking to set new personal records. The Nike Alphafly 2 “Eliud Kipchoge” honours the namesake world-record holder and Olympic gold medalist’s 5K victory in the 2003 World Championships, joining other premier Nike running shoes in the “Eliud Kipchoge” collection.
Inspired by the Nike Zoom Miler colourway worn by a then 18-year-old Eliud Kipchoge during his triumphant run, this special-edition Alphafly 2 sports an all-white AtomKnit base with Flyknit reinforcements on the heel. Black Swooshes adorn the sides, sitting atop the recognisable red stripe on the quarter panel. A thick, full-length ZoomX foam midsole features visible Zoom Air units in the forefoot to maximise the cushioning and reduce joint stress accumulated from the rigours of long-distance runs. Inside the midsole is a sturdy, full-length carbon fibre plate that helps you roll forward with less effort. Eliud Kipchoge’s quote adorns the sockliner alongside details about his 2003 victory. Multidirectional traction patterns designed from data taken from hundreds of runners complete this maximalist supershoe.
