In 1986, PUMA unleashed the first world’s first smart shoe, the RS-Computer shoe. This shoe combined the brand’s Multiplex IV midsole that absorbed shock and controlled motion with cutting-edge computer technology that gathered and translated runners’ data to improve performance. This is the legacy behind the PUMA RS series that continues to roll out new iterations and colourways up to today. Meet one of the latest editions in the series, the PUMA RS-XK “Heather Grey”.
This RS-XK has an engineered full-knit base in dark grey. The leather overlays on the toe and heel areas are light grey, matching the base, whilst the suede overlays on the eye stay panel are dark grey. The TPU Formstrips on the flanks are transparent with black screen-printed lines. The black nylon pulls at the rear make it easy to put on and pull off the shoe. A chunky PU midsole enhanced with RS technology and a dark grey rubber outsole finish off the whole ensemble.
