Jah Jah x Salomon ACS Pro Kankourang

Paris-based Afro-vegan restaurant Jah Jah reunites with Salomon Sportstyle for a brand-new collaboration featuring the Salomon ACS Pro trail-running shoe. Founded in 2017 by Coralie Jouhier and Daquisiline Gomis, Jah Jah served the Caribbean and African delicacies that became integral in bringing communities together. This Jah Jah x Salomon ACS Pro “Kankourang” honours its titular initiatory rite among myths and traditions in West Africa.

Following the vibrant Salomon RX MOC 3.0 collaboration, Jah Jah resumes its homage to African and Caribbean cultures with this ACS Pro rendition. The shoe has a predominantly dark brown upper breathable mesh base inspired by the garments worn during the Kankourang initiation rites, with textile overlays on the toe and rear panels. A robust Kurim structure reinforces the open-air section on the lateral and medial midfoot, a signature design seen on several Salomon ACS variants. Jah Jah branding embellishes the vibrant tongue strip featuring Caribbean colours of red, yellow, and green, a detail that pops out atop the dark-based upper. More co-branded labels decorate the red heel pull tabs and sockliner. The Agile Chassis System and a durable outsole complete the stunning design of the shoe.
