KITH x Salomon XT-6 Gore-Tex Blue

Fastening the toggle on the Quick-Laces, KITH is the next retailer set to tackle Salomon’s beloved XT-6 model with this latest capsule of three. Kith is no stranger to the footwear scene, with brand owner Ronnie Fieg igniting his craft from an early age within the highly stacked shoe boxes of the stockroom. Planting a forward step into the outdoors, KITHtakes on the Trail Runner turned cult classic Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX in this “Blue” colourway.

Similar to the custom-dyed pairs of the “Triple White” XT-6s that received huge social media attention, the blue colourway borrows from the light hues that are experienced from the dying process. Appreciating the feature-heavy nature of the XT-6, KITH opted for a set of palettes that would not detract from the shoe’s graceful details. The cold tones allow for the GORE-TEX-protected mesh and fused TPU panelling to remain the talking point, the visible webbed structure hiding beneath its coating. The Agile Chassis system has also been given the icy treatment which extends the motif, bringing the pair closer to the natural elements that they are designed to withstand. The usual Quick-Lace system is also implemented on this pair in a white Kevlar lace, ready to be fastened up in a heartbeat. Co-branding remains subtle on this pair, a small KITH logo sitting on the thin black label on the gusseted tongue and on the Ortholite insole.
