Nicole McLaughlin x Vans Slip-On Gardening Brown

Multidisciplinary designer based in Boulder, Colorado, Nicole McLaughlin, has partnered with Vans to dress up the latter’s Slip-on silhouette. Presenting the Nicole McLaughlin x Vans Slip-On Gardening “Brown”.

Much like many of McLaughlin's personal works, this Vans Slip-on is highly suited for the outdoors. The upper is constructed from hard-wearing canvas in the titular brown hue with navy accents. Compartments across the toe box make it ideal for storing tools, like shears, trowels and other gardening tools. The shoe features the added convenience of a carabiner on the heel strap that makes it easy to attach to a bag. N.M. branding decorates the tongue alongside the words "Gardening Tote" written beneath it, hinting at the utility design in mind for the shoe. A white midsole and a grey rubber outsole finish off the style of these kicks.
