The NMD has come a long way since its debut in 2015. When it was first unveiled six years ago it quickly became one of the most hyped silhouettes ever made, with the "OG" colourway selling for four digits in some cases. Fast forward to today, while it still maintains its ultra versatile fit and finish, popularity surrounding the model is at an all-time low. With that said, the German giant may have something up their sleeve that will change it all in the form of the adidas NMD S1.
Completely reworking the Nomad model from the ground up, the NMD S1 features some similarities with the R1 but it looks like an entirely different shoe altogether. With a crisp white Primeknit upper, monofilament mesh panels grace the lateral and medial side panels for a look that's similar to the Yeezy Boost 380. Thick 3M rope laces zig-zag across the vamp, with lace tips painted in the original colourway's blue and red scheme.
The midsole is where the magic happens. For the first time ever, the adidas Boost is housed with a see-through unit that's chunkier than ever. EVA plugs can be found throughout in a style that's reminiscent of a game controller's bumper buttons, while serif text brings the classic and the contemporary into one. To round it all off, the outsole is made up of several Trefoil logos that's bears a striking resemblance to the retro Marathon trainer.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the adidas Originals NMD S1 "White" at this moment in time, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know what you think of the evolved design, and in related news, the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu "Orange" oozes with tangy vibes!
