Updated 18/5/23: Eagle-eyed sneaker fans were quick to spot a landing page over on adidas India that suggested that Yeezys could begin releasing as early as the 1st of June. The now-deleted page showcased a number of models, including the two mentioned below, as well as the Yeezy 350 "Pirate Black". However, the re-released silhouettes are expected to depend on the region. Stay tuned for more on how this develops, and to find out how you can get your hands on a pair!

Original Article: While Ye has been parading around in new YZY sock shoes, adidas is still dealing with the financial fall-out that came with the end of its partnership with the rapper late last year. By now, you’ll probably be well aware of the circumstances surrounding the end of the deal, as Ye’s blatant antisemitic remarks pushed the 3-Stripes over the edge.
In a recent shareholder update, adidas finally announced its plans for the remaining Yeezy inventory, which is said to be worth around €1.2 billion dollars. After floating a couple of options, the brand has decided to sell off the stock while donating some of the proceeds to charity - a decision that not only makes up some of adidas’ losses, but will also go some way to benefit the communities hurt by Ye’s commentary.
The kicker, however, is that Ye will still be profiting off the sale - an existing agreement with the company still entitles him to 15% of the royalties.
Now, adidas looks like it's gearing up to start the process, as yesterday Yeezy products had been loaded up onto the adidas UK website. Product pages showed up for the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Zebra” and the Yeezy 500 “Utility Black” - suggesting a restock of the two models could be imminent.
Though any official release info is still yet to follow (the pages have also since disappeared) it’ll be interesting to see how sneaker fans will respond to the drop. Yeezy was, of course, much bigger than Ye, and there was a talented team of designers behind every product. But it's understandable to still feel conflicted about lining Ye’s pockets, even when some of the proceeds will be going to charity. Let us know whether you’re planning on picking up a pair, and stay locked to The Sole Supplier for more information as it comes in.
