It's hard to deny just exactly how monumental 2021 was for fashion. Between Nike joining the metaverse, Fendi x Versace uniting, and of course, the tragic untimely death of Virgil Abloh, we couldn't go a week without new fashion news bombarding us at every turn. However, despite all the headlines, one brand seemed to shine above all in terms of exposure, and it might not come as a surprise that brand was Balenciaga.
Back in October, following the launch of the Lyst Index Q3, we reported Balenciaga was the "World's Hottest Brand" according to the Index's user search data and user behaviour conversion rates. It has now been revealed that Balenciaga managed to hold onto this title through to the end of the year.

From its groundbreaking Fortnite and The Simpsons collaborations all the way to its "Hacking Lab" link up with Gucci, under Demna's rule Balenciaga managed to catapult into a new realm of fashion influence. Take a look at the full Lyst Index Q4 2021 report here. In other news, Moncler launches the second rendition of its "Born to Protect" collection.
