As Nike gears up to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic Air Max 95 next year, we knew some special colourways and collaborations would be on the cards. Out of all the possible releases and retros we’ve been hoping for, one thing we never thought we’d see was Nike SB Air Max 95.
Speaking to Complex, an insider source in the sneaker industry has leaked that Nike's Skateboarding division are working on a special AM95 which is set to release next year. Nothing has been confirmed and there have been no details on potential colourways or changes which be made to the original Air Max 95 design, but we are excited to see what else Nike has in store in 2025.

If this leak is true, this wouldn’t be the first time Nike has given an SB makeover to some of their most iconic silhouettes. Aside from the SB Dunk, last year we also saw the Jordan 4 treated to the SB treatment with the release of the Jordan 4 “Pine Green”. When Nike SB approached the Jordan 4, the changes they made were subtle but important changes to the silhouette. The overall shape of the SB Jordan 4 was much closer to the OG release and the selection of materials placed a greater focus on comfort and durability.
Apart from the iconic photo of Stevie Williams skating the OG "Neon", the Air Max 95 is not a silhouette which has deep roots in skateboarding culture, so this internal collaboration definitely comes as a surprise. After sharing the news on our Instagram, we asked you what you would like to see from an SB Air Max 95. Many were quick to comment that the thick Air sole would take away from board feel and that the distinctive layered panelling would be likely to tear or fray very quickly.
That being said, with rumours surrouding a "Big Bubble" edition of the AM95 in 2025, it looks like the Swoosh may already be exploring new tooling around the silhouette. With the addition of rubberised panelling like we saw on the NDSTRKT update and a Zoom unit tucked into the insole, we reckon the 110 could quickly become a favourite among skaters.
If a Nike SB Air Max 95 is really set to release in 2025, what colourways or design changes would you hope to see?
