Updated 3rd February, 2026: If you’ve spent any time in Shoreditch or Soho lately, you’ve seen the "outdoor office" look everywhere. It’s the aesthetic that says, "I might scale a Munro at 2 PM, but I have a pitch meeting at 3 PM." For Spring 2026, Ronnie Fieg and the Salomon design team have stopped flirting and officially committed to the bit. This latest link up proves that technical gear doesn't need to look like it was recovered from a neon drenched rave in the 90s to be credible.
Technical footwear shouldn't just survive the elements; it should dominate the pavement. The XT-4K is a Kith exclusive evolution of the legendary XT-4. This silhouette puts the "KITH" wordmark front and centre across the lateral panels. No subtle branding here. For this drop, Fieg swaps standard mesh for a durable ripstop upper featuring gradient underlays that actually look better when they're a bit dusty.
Underneath, the Agile Chassis Skeleton and dual density EVA cushioning handle the impact of concrete jungles and muddy peaks with equal poise. The custom mountain artwork on the tongue is a nice nod to the heritage, but the "Falcon" colourway is the real winner for anyone tired of boring neutrals.
If the XT-4K is the loud sibling, the XT-Voyager 2 is the one making moves in the shadows. This update introduces a weather resistant ripstop shroud that zips away the lacing system, creating a silhouette so sharp it makes your old gym shoes look like clunky bricks.
The "Triple Black" version is an instant classic, but the "Vanilla Ice/Rainy Day" palette offers a cleaner alternative for those who can actually keep their shoes white. You get hex camo artwork on the toe and a high traction Contagrip® outsole that sticks to wet tiles better than a panicked gecko. It’s the ultimate "if you know, you know" shoe for the 2026 season.
While everyone else is still fumbling with traditional laces, the XT-Voyager 2 shows that streamlined, laceless adjacent designs are the future of the gorpcore movement. It’s functional, it’s fast, and it looks incredibly sharp with a pair of technical trousers. At the same time, the way the XT-4K reimagines the classic Salomon silhouette is nothing short of revolutionary.
Original Story: Ronnie Fieg doesn't do "quiet." While most of us are still recovering from the Kithmas hangover, the KITH mastermind is already sprinting toward the brand’s 15th anniversary. The latest bait on the hook? A KITH x Salomon XT-4K that feels less like a collaboration and more like a hostile takeover of a cult classic.
Look at the sidewall. No, seriously, look at it. Salomon usually guards its silhouettes, but Fieg just convinced the French giants to plaster KITH in a massive, curving font right across the upper.
This XT-4 is more than just a fresh coat of paint. Fieg stripped away the signature Kevlar speed lacing system; a move that might make purists weep; and replaced it with standard laces that dive deep toward the toe box.
The midsole retains that rugged Agile Chassis Skeleton, but the palette feels like a fever dream of trail running history. With hits of sky blue, purple, and neon green, the XT-4K looks suspiciously like a tribute to the legendary HOKA Speedgoat 2. It’s bright, it’s obnoxious, and it works.
KITH recently played around with Diemme and ASICS, but the Salomon partnership remains the crown jewel of "Gorpcore" prestige. While earlier drops played it safe with earthy tones, this anniversary edition chooses violence.
Salomon is finally loosening the reins. By allowing Fieg to tweak the silhouette and rebranding it the "4K," the brand is admitting that the lifestyle market now dictates the design, not just the mountain trails.
No firm date exists yet, but Fieg's teasers usually mean a drop is weeks, not months, away. We expect this to spearhead the 15th anniversary celebrations. If you missed out on the Kithmas pairs, this is your shot at a shoe that actually looks like a collaboration rather than a simple colour swap. For now, all you have to do is hit the ‘Notify me’ button and we’ll inform you as soon as these go out on sale.
