There's no doubt in any sneakerhead's mind that the Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "Neutral Grey" is one of the most iconic AJ1s in existence. One of the original colourways that debuted in 1985, Michael Jordan was often spotted rocking them on feet by the court. It shouldn't come as a surprise then that they're rumoured to be insanely limited, and here's what we know so far.
Covered in a crisp white leather construction, the "Neutral Grey" gets its renowned colourway name from the light grey accents that make their way to the Nike Swoosh and ankle. A one-to-one remake of the OG, the winged basketball around the collar is debossed by just the perfect amount, while classic perforations his the toebox for that aesthetic that's truly unbeatable even decades later.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Air Jordan 1 without the Air midsole underfoot. Offering up an insane amount of comfort both on and off the court, this is then finished with a complementary rubber outsole that's as pristine as they come. To round off this special edition sneaker, each "Neutral Grey" comes accompanied with a retro Jordan Brand tag that shoes his Airness in his signature Jumpman pose, as well as a diagram within explaining every single aspect of the AJ1.
Now for that information that you probably didn't want to hear. Expected to launch on February 10th, the Nike Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Neutral Grey" is rumoured to be limited to just 23,000 pairs as a nod to MJ's jersey number. Each pair will come with a dust bag and will be individually numbers so that no two are exactly the same. Let us know what you think of this release, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "University Blue" has been delayed!
