After getting a very brief glimpse just last week, the hotly anticipated Fear Of God ESSENTIALS x Converse Skidgrip has now been officially unveiled. One of the footwear brand's oldest silhouettes, it first made its debut all the way back in 1910, making it at least 110 years old. While many of you have probably never heard of this basketball model, Jerry Lorenzo has brought it back for a new generation of sneakerheads.
Arriving in an '80s inspired motif, the FOG Skidgrip is emblazoned with a series of contrasting accents that are sure to make you feel a little nostalgic. Bearing more-or-less the same structure as other icons such as the Chuck 70, the canvas construction provides a versatile fit, while a reworked collar makes these sleeker than ever.
Co-branded detailing hits the tongue and heel, and down below, a clean white vulcanised midsole sits underfoot, providing comfort and cushioning wherever you go.
Scheduled to release in the US on August 27th, a European release has yet to be confirmed, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more updates on the Fear Of God ESSENTIALS x Converse Skidgrip as they develop! Let us know if you'd cop, and while you're here, here are 10 new Converse releases that you don't want to overlook!
