There's no denying that New Balance's 2002R silhouette has become a streetwear staple today, thanks to the stream of GR colourways and covetable collaborations we've received over the recent year. Today, the Boston sportswear giant is offering the retro model again, arriving in two colourways with Danis fashion label GANNI.
The GANNI x New Balance 2002R sees a pair of "Grey" and "Cream" renditions and crafted with sustainability in mind through recycled-material uppers and regrind rubber outsole.
Additional inspiration for these NB2002R is from Y2K fashion (a term used to describe fashion trends in the early 2000s)—as can be seen through the contrasting counterparts, GANNI branding details across the underlays, and many others. The iconic 2002R wouldn't be complete without its extremely comfortable N-ergy-cushioned midsole unit and classic NB branding stamps on the tongue and sides, notably the profile "N" logos.
