Last seen back in 2017 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” is rumoured to return once again in 2022 to mark it’s 25th! The colourway is easily one of the most coveted of all time amongst Nike enthusiasts across the world and will no doubt be a popular release. Designed by Christian Tresser and inspired by Japanese bullet trains, the AM97 was a pivotal release in Nike’s history and remains popular today.
Offering up one of the cleanest colour palettes of all time, the Silver Bullet consists of futuristic silver, hits of vibrant red and black accents. This combination makes for a versatile sneaker that’s almost guaranteed to blend seamlessly into any outfit. If you weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on the last release back in 2017, now is the time to get ready to cop!
The uppers are crafted from premium leather and durable synthetics to form a pair that’s suitable for all seasons, with red mini-Swoosh logos located on the lateral and medial sides for an iconic touch. Reflective details make these head-turners in the dark too, while more branding is present at the tongues and heel tabs. A low-key lacing system finishes off the sporty aesthetic seen throughout the design. Underfoot, a full-length Nike Air Max unit is present, making these the ideal daily steppers.
If you’re as excited as we are regarding the return of the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”, then you’re going to have to sit tight for a while longer, as they’re not expected to return until 2022. As of yet we have no further details unveiled, so make sure to keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier as we’ll update you with more details as soon as they’re released.
