DESCENDANT x adidas Campus Black

The founder of WTAPS and FPAR, Tetsu Nishiyama, has a long-standing relationship with the Three Stripes. Alongside his two Japanese brands is DESCENDANT, which has seen a few collaborations with adidas hosted by the 1980-born Campus model. Now joining the duo's ongoing series is the DESCENDANT x adidas Campus Black, and here's everything you need to know!

Debuted on the court in the '70s as a basketball shoe named "Tournament", the '80s saw its transition to a skate shoe with a vulcanised sole unit. Coinciding with the rising popularity of Japan's skateboarding culture, the adidas Campus became one of the nation's go-to skate shoes, offered in many variations by German sportswear label through the years. For Nishiyama, DESCENDANTS hasn't touched the adidas Campus since its "KEEP ROLLING" ensemble in 2019, so a revamp is definitely well overdue.

The latest addition keeps the colour arrangement simple: a nubuck upper in tonal black paired with a contrasting white midsole underfoot offering incredible comfort. Leather accents adorn the pair via the Three Stripes trademark on the sides and co-branding labels on the tongue and heels, completing the two-toned look.
