Australian fashion brand Song For The Mute launches its second collection with adidas, highlighting distinct, pre-distressed design cosmetics towards the sneakers in the pack. The future-forward adidas “SFTM-002” capsule features three adidas Campus 80s colourways and one Shadowturf iteration launching alongside an extensive apparel line. This Song For The Mute x adidas Campus 80s “Clear Brown” reimagines the sleek retro trainer with a modern-day makeover.
Founded in 2010 by childhood friends Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty, Song For The Mute served as the voice for the voiceless through its distinguished fashion sense inspired by Australian culture. This adidas Campus 80s rendition flaunts a beige canvas construction embellished with frayed edges to deliver a pre-distressed aesthetic. Black 3-Stripes wrap the lateral sides, juxtaposed with vibrant orange accents on the medial panel. Co-branded labels adorn the tongue, while an “SFTM-002” tag sits on the lateral collar, contrasting the adidas Trefoil tag on the medial section. Oversized metallic eyelets further emphasise the unique update on this ‘80s icon. The chunky gum rubber sole with black herringbone patterns on the outsole wraps up the expressive makeover of this adidas Campus 80s colourway.
