ASICS GEL-1130 Monozukuri Birch

ASICS has a new “Monozukuri” collection which pays homage to the Japanese style of craftsmanship. This spirit is found in the Japanese martial art of Kendo and that’s why each silhouette in the capsule features the diamond-textured bogu kimono textile which is part of the Kendo armour. Get ready for one of the shoes in the collection, the ASICS GEL-1130 Monozukuri “Birch”.

This GEL-1130 has a mostly off-white mesh fibre base. The synthetic leather overlays are also off-white. The standout feature of this shoe is the navy blue bogu kimono textile found on the mid-panel and heel sections. The Tiger stripes on the medial and lateral mid-panels are navy with beige accents. The shoe also has two sets of laces, flat navy blue laces and beige rope-like laces. Brick red joins the colour palette via the ASICS branding on the tongues and insoles. An off-white midsole with navy blue GEL inserts at the heel and midfoot and a navy blue rubber outsole cap off this special release.
