HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-1130 MK 3 Glacier

Multi-faceted creative house HAL Studios concludes its ASICS GEL-1130 series with a third and final colourway. The collaboration between the two brands began in 2022 with the “Smoke Grey” rendition. Following the nature-inspired themes of the collaboration, this HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-1130 MK 3 “Glacier” closes the trilogy in a clean white and grey makeover.

Japanese sportswear brand ASICS leans heavily on the brand’s archival designs to keep up with the retro running sneaker trend. The new GEL-1130 silhouette is a reimagined model based on the design of the ninth GEL-1000 series sneaker. This running-inspired lifestyle shoe also takes design elements from the GEL-KAYANO 14, a classic running shoe from 2008. First launched in 2021, the GEL-1130 features an airy mesh upper with suede overlays and large ASICS stripes on the sides. The progressive design originates from the GEL-KAYANO 14, flaunting the aggressive lines all over the upper. A visible GEL unit adorns the heel, while the TRUSSTIC stability system comprises the midfoot.

This collaborative colourway features a white mesh base with light grey suede overlays. Black leather panels on the forefoot, eyestay, and rear keep the structure intact. Red rope laces stand out atop the neutral-toned construction. Minimalist HAL Studious branding on the heel with a subtle ASICS logo on the stripes conclude the sneaker.
