Awake NY x ASICS Gel-Lyte 3 Black

Angelo Baque's Awake NY is back to collaborate again with ASICS, and for this collection he'll be dropping four colourways. Having recently worked on a GEL-Kayano, the designer looks to the GEL-Lyte 3 for the duo's latest capsule, with four colourways set to drop over the next couple of months. One of these is the Awake NY x ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 "Black", so let's take a closer look at the pair.

While most of the colourways arrive in bright and bold hues, the "Black" Awake NY x GEL-Lyte III opts for a monochromatic make-up, with shades of black, white and grey dressing the upper. Starting off with a black base, the shoe gives way to cracked panels in black and white, and grey ASICS branding appears in a translucent material across the sidewalls. The shoe is then finished with a split tongue detail for added comfort, and white laces and a grey and white sole unit keep the pair in line with the colourway's tonal theme.
