New York-based brand KITH collaborates with ASICS and Marvel to celebrate the X-Men franchise’s 60th anniversary. The collection features seven colourways honouring the iconic mutant characters in the comics. This X-Men x KITH x ASICS GEL-LYTE 3 “Gambit” flaunts a subtle superhero makeover inspired by the character’s hair and trench coat.

Introduced in 1990, Remy Etienne LeBeau, or Gambit, is one of the most popular X-men characters. The card-throwing superhero appeared in several reinterpretations, cementing his legacy among the new generation of comic lovers. This colourway features a light brown perforated nubuck base inspired by Gambit’s trench coat. Darker brown shades cover the mudguard and the heel panel as a nod to his hair while glowing red accents on the ASICS stripes and interior lining represent his explosive powers. The white midsole and black rubber outsole wrap up this design, limited to 2,500 pairs. A Gambit Upper Deck trading card differing in rarity will come with the shoe packed in a Marvel co-branded custom mylar bag.
