Seoul-based high-fashion label Kimhekim unveils its first-ever sneaker collaboration with ASICS Sportstyle, starring the Gel-Nimbus 10.1. Formed by Kimintē Kimhēkim in 2016, the South Korean brand embraces Parisian couture, a unique approach that the founder pursued after graduating from the French Academy of Design at Studio Berçot. This limited-edition Kimhekim x ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 “Silver” reimagines the late 2000s running shoe with a contemporary aesthetic suited for today’s diverse streetwear era.
This hybrid runner features a grey open mesh upper with iridescent silver synthetic overlays, staying true to the Gel-Nimbus 10’s streamlined structure. Signature Tiger Stripes rest on the sides, while a charming heart detail adorns the midfoot and lateral foxing. Co-branded labels animate the tongue, rear, and sockliner, celebrating the debut project between ASICS and Kimhēkim. Derived from the iconic Gel-Kayano 14, the grey EVA foam midsole utilises silver GEL inserts in the forefoot and heel for responsive cushioning and energy return. A rigid TRUSSTIC shank plate delivers stability and arch support underfoot.
