While recent ASICS GEL-NYC colourways often appear in muted, greyscale tones, the Japanese-based brand prepares for the changing seasons with this stunning colour palette. The ASICS GEL-NYC “Oatmeal Forest” covers the vintage-inspired lifestyle staple with autumnal tones of green and orange.

Created with the help of Awake NY founder and current “The ASICS Collective” lead Angelo Baque, the ASICS GEL-NYC blends early 2000s running heritage with modern-day technology. The shoe takes its upper design from the GEL-Nimbus 3 with subtle elements from the MC-PLUS V model. On the other hand, the GEL-NYC’s midsole originates from the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 16, another performance running shoe from the early 2010s. This rendition features a sail white mesh underlay reinforced with metallic silver synthetic leather overlays. Orange suede panels cover the mudguard, eyestay, and heel, while dark green tones adorn the ASICS stripes and GEL midsole. The grey midfoot shank plate and orange rubber outsole wrap up this seasonal makeover.
