A.P.C. x ASICS GEL-SONOMA 15-50 Blue

ASICS and French Fashion brand A.P.C team up to bring us a strong trio of footwear in the form of the new GEL-SONOMA 15-50 collection. The colourways are solid, which is no small part thanks to the wild palettes and obscure models of Kiko Kostadinov collaborations, a designer who has truly pushed the boundaries in modern footwear. This A.P.C partnership takes a leaf from the current ASICS Sportstyle catalogue, delivering a brave new collection of shoes that will make its way into the hands of the unorthodox sneakerhead.

This blue colourway beautifully balances the detail-heavy GEL-SONOMA 15-50 without making them appear overbearing. Combining mesh, suede and semi-translucent plastic means the upper is anything but simple. The co-branding is tastefully done, with A.P.C dubraes on the laces and on the left shoe, the heel is stamped “a.P.C”, cleverly inserting the ASICS logo. The loop lacing system is supported by a mixture of eyestays, coming from both the purple sidewall logo and tie-dyed details developed by A.P.C itself. Based on the two previous GEL-SONOMA trail shoes, this pair of 15-50s are great for both urban exploration and mountainside adventures.
