New Balance 1906R Overdyed Pack Blue

New Balance puts the deconstructed tooling to the side and experiments with a dye colouring on this 1906R. Forming one-third of the Overdyed Pack is this “Blue” edition, with a DIY-colouring aesthetic that has had the footwear industry in a choke hold since 2021. With the pack already launching over in Australia via Up There Store, it’s only a matter of time before the trio hits the UK shores.

From afar, you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking these were a general release pair from New Balance, an idea that soon gets dispelled when up close. The 1906R is arguably the best out of the pack, with its dark upper perfect for anyone who wants to stand out from the crowd without having to wear a pair of loudly coloured shoes. A ballistic mesh forms the underlay, its dappled effect hidden beneath the techy panels that also detail a dyed finish. Head down onto the sole and you’ll find the same washed effect applied to the outsole and ABZORB units on the rear, all while an off-white midsole continues to tone down the subtle Overdyed motif.
