New Balance 550 Sea Salt Quartz Pink

Did you know that if it weren’t for a Japanese sneaker collector the New Balance 550 may never have been revived in 2020? That’s because after its initial release the NB 550 went into a three-decade hibernation. Today, after Teddy Santis of Aimé Leon Dore re-introduced it, this shoe is an in-demand retro shoe. Take a closer look at one of the latest variations of the model, the New Balance 550 “Sea Salt Quartz Pink”.

This NB 550 has a white mesh upper showing on the toe box and collar. The suede overlays on the toe, mid-panel and heel areas are in off-white. The pale pink convex “N” logos on both the medial and lateral side walls are outlined in blue, making them stand out against the backdrop. Blue repeats on the collar accents, the tongue branding and the NB logos on the insoles. A white midsole and a speckled gum rubber outsole round out the style of this shoe.
