New Balance’s popular 990x and 99x series form the brand’s most premium footwear offerings. The New Balance 991 is part of the Made in UK category, manufactured in North-East coastal town of Flimby, Cumbria, England. This running sneaker debuted in 2001 when modern Y2K trends headlined the new millennium. The silhouette has a 19-year gap from the iconic New Balance 990, which pioneered premium-priced running shoes during the 80s.
