New Balance XC-72 Black Castlerock

The New Balance XC-72 is expanding its collection and the New Balance XC-72 Black Castlerock is its latest iteration. This particular pair ditches the greyscale look and plays with colour even as it remains on the dark side.

The base is a pitch-black suede with a deep purple-navy suede toe cap. A strip of baby blue mesh runs down the toe box, contrasting against all the dark colours on the vamp. The heel counter is a fuzzy dark grey suede while the eye stays are a deep green, matching the tongue and making the deep red laces stand out. The heel tab in mesh provides a pop of colour in bright orange. The oversized “N” logo is in a shiny grey tumbled leather.
