New Balance XC-72 Washed Henna

The Charlotte Lee-designed New Balance XC-72 has an exciting new iteration in a warm colourway, the New Balance XC-72 Washed Henna.

The recycled mesh base of the upper is in the titular muted red of “Washed Henna” which contrasts with all the overlays that are in a rich “Horizon” red suede on the toe cap, mudguard, eye stay panel and heel tab. An oversized “N” in white tumbled leather stands out on most of the mid-panel. A strip of soft peach accents the toe’s underlay with the colour continuing onto the microfiber tongue. The herringbone-patterned heel bumper is in a cream colour contrasting with the deeper maroon heel counter in suede. The midsole is in antique-looking off-white and a royal blue “NB” logo graces the tongue. The signature boulder-looking studded caramel-coloured gum sole that goes all the way up to the toe tip rounds out the shoe’s design.
