AMBUSH founder Yoon Ahn, recently took to her Instagram to unveil another upcoming Air Force 1 collaboration. Using her signature rear-footwear angle, it was clear to see that the iconic silhouette was dressed in a Chicago Bull’s make-up, a pairing we hadn’t seen since 2016. Nike has clearly upgraded AMBUSH’s collaborative access card, as this Air Force 1 is primed with heritage features.
As expected, Ambush’s contemporary tooling is still present, with two rubberised Swoosh’s extending off the rear of the shoe that resembles the ‘feeling of motion’. Considering that this ‘80s basketball silhouette is covered in a classic colourway and bears a premium leather construction, you should expect these to age like a fine wine. We’re already expecting to see a range of custom pairs that are accented with yellowed soles and sail laces that aim to mimic the “Lost & Found” release from 2022. As with the previous “Green” and “Blue Yellow” colourways, AMBUSH branding can be found on the added TPU heel counter, as well as on the tongue label and dubrae.
Do you reckon the “Chicago” colourway will draw a spike in interest for the AMBUSH x Air Force 1 Low editions? We’ll be keen to see an official release date for these, so in the meantime keep it locked into The Sole Supplier!
