Nike Air Pegasus 83 Black White

The Nike Air Pegasus has seen a number of retros since its release back in ’83. With the shoe receiving regular updates ever since its birth, the succession has become a mainstay within the Nike Sportswear line-up and is held in high regard amongst fellow runners. Like a number of vintage models, the outdated technology means they’re no longer ideal for actual running and as a result, you can find them on the shelves of your local streetwear shops. The shoes are still great at getting you from a to b, albeit at a much slower pace.

The Nike Air Pegasus 83 is a real workhorse of a shoe and makes for an excellent beater pair, especially in this Black and White colourway. The mudguard, lace panel and heel all use a light suede to give the upper some texture. A large white Swoosh follows the design language of the 80s Nike era that can also be seen in the ‘85 release of the Air Jordan 1 and ‘82 Nike Cortez. A synthetic mesh is used throughout to keep the shoe light and breathable, serving the shoe’s originally intended athletic purpose. More Nike Air branding is located on the heel tab and tongue patch, pushing the Air technology which was new at the time.
