Cultivating diverse cultures since 2016, Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand Kids of Immigrants takes the spotlight in this exclusive Nike collaboration. After headlining a series of exclusive Air Max 1 iterations, the rising label founded by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis brings forth two vibrant colourways of the archival Air Max Sunder, a late ‘90s silhouette that’s high on the radar of fans and sneaker enthusiasts. Joining the “Persian Violet” colourway, this Kids of Immigrants x Nike Air Max Sunder “Sundial Medium Ash” presents a vivid palette and updated panelling to give the trainer a modern flavour.

This rendition flaunts a yellow and orange gradient atop the lightweight nylon upper, reinforced with a black grid-like caging on the sides and a black suede mudguard. A purple mini Swoosh adorns the lateral rear, complementing the two-tone round laces and plastic midfoot shank plate underfoot. The zip-up shroud reveals additional branding underneath, including the Colombian flag on the inside of the tongue, which adds a piece of storytelling. Visible Air units in the forefoot and rear deliver maximum cushioning right off the bat, whilst the rugged outsole provides long-lasting grip on the pavement. The canvas-like upper is complemented by the premium leather toe guard, with cut outs in place of the typical 3M accents that the SNDR is known for.

The KOI SNDR comes in a special edition Nike cardboard and orange box, with a set of shooting stars and spellout across the lid.
