The special-edition Nike Cortez “Jackie Robinson Day” celebrates one of the most iconic moments in sports history. The colourway marks the 78th anniversary of Jackie Robinson Day, held every 15th of April to celebrate the game where “42” became the first-ever African-American athlete to play in the modern era of Major League Baseball.

This fresh Nike Cortez features an off-white nylon upper with suede overlays on the toe, rear, and serrated eyestays. A black tumbled leather Swoosh graces the sidewalls, accentuated with a metallic silver outline to match the lace dubrae. The red stitching on the back tab replicates a baseball, further honouring Jackie’s legacy that transcended sports. The “42” jersey number decorates the tongue, heel, and custom sockliner for additional flair. A lightweight EVA midsole rests underfoot for adequate cushioning, shored up by a durable herringbone outsole.
