Nike TN Air Max Plus Waterway

From workwear to football clubs, the Nike TN Air Max Plus themes in 2023 have been diverse as the cutting-edge trainer celebrates its 25th anniversary. Whilst the silhouette is known for its pioneering gradient mesh upper invented by designer Sean McDowell, this fresh rendition incorporates tie-dye prints as a nod to the swaying palm trees sketched out by McDowell during a vacation in Florida. The Nike TN “Waterway” revisits the “Palm Trees” pack from 2019, decked out in an array of striking tones.

These TNs utilise a clean white mesh upper, accented with tie-dye graphics inspired by palm trees, a detail also subtly spotted on the special-edition “25th Anniversary” colourway. The wavy TPU exoskeleton features a gradient transition from metallic silver to muted blue, preserving the signature detailing of the ‘98 Air Max icon. The classic Swooshes on the sides, rubber toe cap, and synthetic mudguard maintain a toned-down blue hue, while the iconic yellow TN logo on the heel stands out in its vibrant pigment. Visible Tuned Air units make up the forefoot and heel portion of the PU midsole, ensuring superior cushioning and long-term comfort. Modified waffle traction patterns on the decoupled outsole deliver a durable and reliable grip.
