After a brief hiatus, Rihanna’s Fenty rejoins forces with German sportswear giant PUMA to resume their creative partnership. The two companies first teamed up in 2015 and went on to deliver disruptive fashion sophistication for the next three years. This Fenty x PUMA Avanti C “Aged Silver” is an update on the archival football shoe popularised by legends Eusebio, Pelé, and Diego Maradona, this time reimagined to display a luxe streetwear appeal.

PUMA recently revived a classic terrace-based trainer in the PUMA Palermo, rejuvenating the brand’s rich football culture. For her comeback collaboration, Fenty creative director Rihanna taps the Avanti, a lifestyle shoe introduced in 2001 based on the PUMA King football boot. This rendition has a leather-constructed chrome silver base encompassing the entire upper, assuring head-turning looks everywhere you go. The signature PUMA Formstrip logos adorn the sides, blending with the glossy texture of the shoe. Laser-etched Fenty branding decorates the lateral quarter panel and fold-over tongue. Deeply rooted in the football archives, the shoe has a classic EVA foam wedge midsole and a gum rubber outsole featuring circular nubs that stretch towards the raised heel section.
