The INSIDE TAG x PUMA Mostro UR Communication "Haute Coffee" isn’t just a sneaker — it’s a collector’s moment, with years of carfeful curation guiding this make-up. Inspired by one of the founder's outfits from years ago, the browns and purples are a combination that compliments the Mostro's lines, allowing the detiails to shine up close.
First launched in 1999, the PUMA Mostro was all about disruption, with its aggressive spiked outsole and futuristic strap closure. In 2004 designer Peter Schmidt reworked on the original sketches, giving us the UR version (a German prefix whic stands for original or point of being). Fast-forward to 2025, and archivist George Roy Roberts, founder of INSIDE TAG, has reimagined the silhouette with fresh purpose.
This collaborative pair blends nostalgia and innovation, featuring a premium brown leather upper paired with black suede overlays and wide-loop mesh panels for breathability. The exaggerated purple spiked sole nods to trail and hiking influences, while aged TPU components pay homage to the way vintage Mostros have aged over time.
Dropping early via the IT website on the 28th of March, followed by a UK launch on the 29th at retailers such as END. be sure to set up a release reminder as quanitites are expected to be limited.
