MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 Mules Cream Earth

The MM6 diffusion line of Paris-based luxury fashion label Maison Margiela turns the classic Salomon XT-4 into a slip-on. This collaboration between MM6 and French outdoor sportswear brand Salomon follows up on the previous partnership from last year’s 2022 Fall/Winter collection. The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 Mules “Cream Earth” chops off the heel panel to balance aesthetics between a sneaker and a mule.

Salomon is no stranger to luxury fashion brand collaborations. Brands like Carhartt WIP and Comme des Garçons transformed Salomon’s outdoor trail running shoes into runway footwear. Maison Margiela’s MM6 secondary line joins forces with Salomon to transform the iconic XT-4 trail running shoe into a mule. It features a lightweight mesh base and thin TPU overlays on the sides. A protective rubber toe cap adds durability to the heavy-duty trail running shoe. Salomon branding adorns the lateral sides while the Quicklace system remains despite the chopped-off heel section. The Agile Chassis System on the midsole provides soft cushioning and lateral stability on any surface. MM6’s numbers logo adorns the toe to stamp the premium label’s identity.

This colourway features earthy tones on the mesh upper with beige TPU overlays. XT-4 Mule branding adorns the colourful tongue with the Quicklace setup. Blue pigments comprise the upper midsole panel for added vibrance. The black ACS frame and cream-white EVA foam midsole complete this sneaker/mule hybrid.
