Joe Freshgoods x Vans Sk8-Hi Platform Chocolate Valley Resort Orange

Joe Freshgoods is one of a few designers successfully capturing the zeitgeist within the footwear industry today. It is no wonder then, that after a string of successful collaborations with New Balance, Vans wanted to snatch up his talents for two of its new silhouettes. Tasked with breathing life into the new Sk8-Hi Platform, Freshgoods draws from his love for travel and research, embracing the history of black travel and leisure within this playful capsule with Vans.

As titled, the new platform edition boasts a 3cm beige midsole that will have you walking around with newly found confidence. Above, the upper is fabricated from a blend of orange hues that form the iconic construction of the Sk8-Hi. The side wall is formed out of a quilted canvas, breaking up the assortment of suedes and acts as a backdrop for the classic Vans stripe logo. Branding has also been toned down as the tongue label and licence plate both blend into their respective background.
