After months (even years) of speculation, it looks like we're seeing a new Off-White x Air Jordan 1! Social media has been flooded with speculation and rumours around this release for a while, but it seems like something is starting to take shape as a leaked style code associated with the product hit the web earlier this week. The question is though, what will it look like? Keep reading to find out everything we know about the 2025 Off-White x Air Jordan 1 release so far.
Arguably the biggest collaboration in sneaker history, this is some of the biggest news we've heard all year. Not only has the Off-White x Nike collaboration been sorely missed, the Jordan 1 as a silhouette has been slowing down in popularity with a growing lack of popularity in the style which was flying off shelves just two years ago.
After scouring every Tweet and Insta post we could find, there's still very little information on this release. Earlier in the year, news began to circle that the Off-White x Jordan 1 "Canary" was going to see a release in 2025 and this was a rumour which, until very recently, seemed to hold some weight. It wasn't until a style code from various insider circles began to circulate earlier this week that people began to question what release we would be seeing. Now, it seems that the sneaker we will see being released is more likely to be a new colourway entirely that we have never seen before.
Some outlets have reported that we might see a colourway similar to an unfinished sample which is currently on display at the Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago, however others have reported the design may be entirely different. As of right now, very little is officially known about this release and any news we do hear should be taken with a pinch of salt given that the release date is currently set to be a full year from now in the Holiday 2025 period.
What we do know for sure though is that this release could prove to be incredibly controversial. The brainchild of Virgil Abloh, the Off-White x Nike collection holds a place in many sneakerheads hearts, being one of the first collaborations which put the sneaker industry on the map. If this is to be an entirely new colourway with no connection to Abloh, we could see some blowback from the designer's loyal fanbase.
