Salehe Bembury is no stranger to cool collabs. The American sneaker designer has worked for Yeezy and Versace, as well as spearheading a number of notable collabs with the likes of New Balance, Vans and now, Crocs. Joining the previously seen "Spackle," "Menemsha," and "Cucumber" iterations, images of the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog "Urchin" have now surfaced on social media.
Unlike the Crocs collabs we’ve seen from the likes of Justin Bieber and Post Malone, the Pollex Clog sees Salehe Bembury switch up the Classic Clog’s design, with a unique construction that’s made to replicate his signature fingerprint. Joining the other super-wearable colourways of the Pollex Clog, the “Urchin” takes on a blue-toned tint across its construction.
Crafted from foam, the clog features a textured upper with added cut-outs for breathability. The backstraps feature a grey co-branded heel piece, and a semitranslucent heel feature runs underneath to the toebox to tie the colourway together.
Bearing in mind Salehe Bembury’s sneaker pedigree, and, with rubber clogs having a moment this summer thanks to the Instagram-fuelled success of Crocs and the famed Yeezy Foam Runner, we think the Crocs x Salehe Bembury Pollex Clogs will fly.
It's since been revealed that "Spackle" will be a friends and family exclusive, however the green "Cucumber" and earthy "Menemsha" colourways are set to drop at select retailers on the 14th December. A raffle for the "Cucumber" colourway is now live at crocs.com.
A release date for the "Urchin" and "Sratus" colourways are yet to be confirmed, but keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info as we hear it.
Next up, how Crocs became 2021's favourite shoe.
