If there is one thing that this British retailer has proven over the decades, it is how to execute monochrome sneakers. The Footpatrol x adidas Megaride “Shades of Black” is yet another great example of the above, proving that this London-based brand has stealthy written into its DNA.

Just check out both the London and Paris stores, and it will soon become clear that the brand is familiar with the concept of ‘less is more’. Taking that mindset into projects with the likes of adidas is another thing altogether, especially when the Megaride is the canvas of choice.
Having debuted in 2005, you would be forgiven for thinking the Megaride was adidas’ latest addition to the library and not a 20-year-old retro. Fused panelling, a set of rope laces and a spring loaded cushioning system are all markers of today’s footwear favourites, so the model is well within its rites to be sat on the shelf in 2026.

Subduing the silhouettes aggressive midsole technology is no easy feat, but this task is well within Footpatrol’s stride. Tucked beneath the 3M Three-Stripes is the Gasmask logo, as well as a smaller version stamped onto the tongue. Another piece of co-branding can be found on the sockliner inside, a further reminder that this colourway was pieced together by the legendary British retailer.
