We’re almost on the final countdown for the World Cup, and fans across the globe have their eyes peeled on anything and everything football, and especially Nike. The Swoosh is killing it with its World Cup rollout.
The brand has partnered with seven federations, seven collaborators and seven community organisations to unveil its X2 capsule collections. Seven collabs for seven nations: England x Palace, US x Virgil Abloh Archive, Netherlands x Patta, France x Jacquemus, Canada x Nocta, Nigeria x Slawn, South Korea x PEACEMINUSONE.
These seven World Cup collab kits, which are individually dropping this summer, all feature a pre-match football jersey as well as a Nike Cryoshot with each collaborator adding their own individual and national take on the shoe.

This classic Nike boot has been designed for lifestyle-wear, Nike has encased the studs in crispy clear outsoles so you can rep your favourite cleats on the street. The Canadian Nocta iteration takes on a yellow upper with a black Swoosh and the Nocta logo on the back.
Palace has upgraded the Air Speed M so you can wear it every day. The black upper features the England colours in the white Swoosh and the red sole and Palace branding.
Never thought we’d be copping a Cryoshot designed by Jacquemus but here we are. The French designer has revamped the Tiempo R10, recreating the cult football boot in premium leather. It has a minimal design featuring an all-white upper with hints of blue, white and red (nodding to the tricolour French flag) in the embedded cleats.
After dropping a bunch of Mercurials in the past few weeks, Patta is back for its own Cryoshot. According to Nike, the Patta team knew immediately that they had to make an R9. They’ve worked on the original synthetic leather design adding on the Dutch flag colourway.
Nigerian artist and designer Slawn has picked out the earliest Nike boot, and reimagined it in canvas adorned with his signature spray paint illustrations, and a minty sole.
South Korean streetwear label PEACEMINUSONE was founded by K-pop icon G-Dragon and his stylist Gee Eun in 2016, and has been a Nike collaborator since 2019. For the Cryoshot rollout the brand has taken the cult CTR360 boot – which brings a vintage vibe with its distressed finish and embroidered elements.
After releasing its Air Jordan 1 collaboration five years after the late designer’s passing, V.A.A. is back for the World Cup. The design team took the classic Zoom M9 football boot and recreated it for everyday wear, using Virgil’s distinctive design style with the “AIR” labelling and branding, and paying homage to American World Cup legend Mia Hamm.
The collaborative Nike Cryoshots are set to drop June 11th via each collaborator’s sites, at Dover Street Market on June 13th, and SNKRS on June 16th.
