ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Glacier Grey

Recent ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 releases appeared in greyscale or yellowish, vintage-inspired colourways as a nod to its late 2000s origins. However, this fresh, cool-hued “Glacier Grey” makeover deviates from the usual design approach and incorporates eye-popping blue and purple accents to complement the clean white panels.

One of the quintessential silhouettes in the long-stand Gel-Kayano franchise, the Gel-Kayano 14 introduced a new start for the Japanese athleisure brand ASICS, becoming the first shoe in the franchise not designed by Toshikazu Kayano. The model returned in 2020 to headline the rising demand for retro running shoes. Since its comeback, the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 remains a constant release in the SportStyle catalogue. This colourway has a white mesh vamp with light grey suede panels surrounding the toe box. The mesh sections on the quarter and heel come in a light blue shade, accented with metallic silver ASICS stripes on the sides. Pastel tones of purple decorate the visible GEL cushioning system in the midsole, while the light grey outsole rounds out the fresh winter-inspired design.
