ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 Oyster Grey

After several collaborations in 2022 and early 2023, the late 2000s ASICS Gel-Nimbus 9 running shoe expands the Japanese sportswear brand’s retro trainer lineup by releasing in a slew of colourways throughout the season. This women’s “Oyster Grey” rendition flaunts a basic makeover constructed in grey and sail white tones to achieve a vintage design aesthetic.

The shoe has a grey breathable mesh base, with beige suede overlays to bolster the low-cut construction of this 2007 running trainer. Colour-coordinated light grey tones decorate the ASICS stripes and the reinforcements on the heel and forefoot. Pastel tints of purple appear in a faint approach, covering the laces, sockliner, and heel midsole section. Old-school-inspired sail white emblazons the midfoot shank and forefoot midsole, surrounding the grey visible GEL cushioning inserts. The same pigment lands on the decoupled outsole to complete this summer-appropriate makeover.
