ASICS introduces new styles of the modern ASICS GEL-NYC to welcome the autumn season. Aside from retro running icons like the GEL-Kayano 14, the GEL-NYC bolster the Japanese sportswear giant’s Sportstyle catalogue, taking advantage of the popularity surrounding old-school athletic kicks. This “Moss Forest” rendition lands in autumn-ready hues, decked out in varying green shades for a verdant makeover.

The ASICS GEL-NYC draws design cues from the GEL-NIMBUS 3 and GEL-MC PLUS V, two running models from the early 2000s. Meanwhile, the midsole tooling of the GEL-Cumulus 16 forms the bottom half of the sneaker. The silhouette dropped in 2023 with an Awake NY collaboration to fully capture its New York City namesake essence. This “Moss Forest” rendition lands in autumn colours, draped in a dark green mesh base with black and green leather reinforcements. ASICS labels and logos adorn the tongue, heel, and lateral rear, boasting a stealthy black shade. Visible GEL inserts on the forefoot and heel deliver superior cushioning and plush comfort underfoot, perfect for short-distance running and all-day casual trips.
