New Balance 550 Angora Kombu

Today, the New Balance 550 is a global fashion favourite. However, it nearly disappeared from footwear history. After its debut as a b-ball sneaker in 1989, the NB 550 was filed away into the archives. It was revived in 2020 due to its discovery by Teddy Santis of Aimé Leon Dore. Check out one of the latest editions of the silhouette, the New Balance 550 “Angora Kombu”.

This NB 550 has an off-white all-leather upper except for the heel section. The distinctive, marshmallow-like “N” logos on both sides of the shoe are dark green outlined with juniper green. Dark green can be found again on the mesh collar, the mesh sock liner, the tongue lining and the tongue and insole branding. The collar accents and the heel clips are juniper green. A speckled white sole unit rounds out the style of this shoe.
