.SWOOSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low 404 ERROR 2.0

Nike enters the complex cyberspace with its latest .SWOOSH offering, a blank Air Force 1 displaying a blue error screen. This fusion between the digital and physical worlds pays homage to the virtual launch of the brand’s “Our Force 1” collection, which caused the site to crash due to server overload. After the highly coveted drop of the first version, the .SWOOSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low “404 ERROR 2.0” is a much more limited release with only 404 individually numbered pairs available, further commemorating the infamous digital glitch.

In order to have won a chance to purchase a pair, .SWOOSH members were sent an email to an exclusive mobile browser game called Glitch Galaxy. Moving from side-to-side, the player had to avoid catching the L icons and collect the descending sneakers instead, with a timer giving you the chance to set your high score. Up to four thousand players with the highest score were then given a follow up email on the 26th, giving them a chance to purchase the shoe off the Nike SNKRS app. With only 404 available pairs, even those 4000 people only stood around a 10% chance, meaning getting hold of one of these could be an absolute myth.

Unlike the first "404 ERROR" edition, this special-edition AF1 features a glossy holographic upper, creating a mixture of blue and purple hues. The “404 Error, requested upper was not found. Try again.” message decorates the lateral rear section, projected atop a binary pattern. Debossed Swooshes adorn the leather tongue tag and metallic silver lace dubrae, a glimpse of classic details to contrast the offbeat design. Binary graphics animate the sockliners, stamped with Nike Virtual Studios and “This Is Not A JPEG” (Tinaj) branding as a nod to the subsidiary’s first IRL AF1 sneaker. Individually numbered tagsA crisp white midsole sits underfoot backed by an icy translucent rubber outsole. The shoe arrives in a special-edition brown box clad in .SWOOSH labels.
