A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro Burgundy Crush

James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére celebrates the 35th anniversary of the classic Air Jordan 5 with an all-new collaboration. Packed with various storytelling details, this colourway is a follow-up to the “Dusk” and “Dawn” editions from a previous project, which reworked the Tinker Hatfield-designed basketball shoe’s shape and overall aesthetic. Sporting the Atlanta-based boutique’s signature colour scheme, the limited-edition A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 Retro “Burgundy Crush” exudes Parisian-inspired flair.

This AJ5 features a crisp white leather upper with an embroidered “23” on the lateral foxing to represent MJ’s jersey number. The iconic AMM monogram forms the soft inner lining and cream plastic netting for a luxurious touch. Burgundy accents envelop the PU midsole, giving the shark teeth detailing a subtle finish. Traditional Nike Air graces the rear, complementing the co-branded logos on the tongue and sockliner. The plush padding around the ankles appears slimmer than standard AJ5s to replicate the OG shape. The visible Air unit in the heel provides adequate cushioning underfoot, while the translucent outsole incorporates thick herringbone treads for long-lasting traction.
